Our Story
The Spicy Radish is the answer to the age old question: “What’s for dinner?”
The Spicy Radish is a meal delivery service in Denver, Colorado. It is owned and operated by chef Katie Kannen, a native of Virginia and graduate of the French Culinary Institute in New York City, and her husband Chris.
Commuting home late one night from her job as a private chef, Katie thought, I barely have time to make a meal for my own family. I’m the cobbler and my children have no shoes! If I love to cook and can’t always put a good meal on the table, what about other busy people? And so The Spicy Radish was born.
The Spicy Radish offers convenience and peace of mind when it comes to the “What’s for dinner?” question. Even if you love to cook, sometimes you don’t have the time, or the right ingredients. Sometimes you want a break. We take the stress out of menu planning, shopping and cooking, delivering delicious meals you can feel good about serving your family.
Before starting The Spicy Radish in January 2013, Katie was head chef at Spoon Catering in New York; on-camera and voice-over talent for technique videos on Epicurious.com; and has served private clients in Manhattan, the Hamptons, the Adirondacks, and Washington, D.C.
